Born in 1969 in Ivory Coast, Malik began his musical training in Guadeloupe at the age of 6. He followed a classical flute formation with Marc Rovelas in "Point à Pitre"; arrived in France in 1986, he entered the CNR of Marseilles with Jean-Louis Beaumaudier and followed in parallel a jazz formation at the CPMA. In 1989 he entered the CIM and continued his classical cursus by studying the analysis, the orchestration, the harmony and the counterpoint with Michel Prady at the International Academy of Music of Paris. During his training, he gained various recompenses (1st flute prize of Marvounzy school, composition diploma of Festag, 1st prize of the CNR unanimously from the jury). In 1989 he began his professional carrer with the band "Human Spirit"; since he took part in many projects: FFF, Malka Family, Juan Rozoff, Lio, Mama Ohandja, Big Cheese Records, Teri Moise, Las Patatas Espantadas, Rido Bayonne, Laurent Garnier, DJ GilbR, Saint Germain, Tomawak, Poésie B., Denis Guivarch Trio, Pierre Michel Sivadier, Julien Lourau Groove Gang... Malik has also several bands: the HWI Project (13 musiciens), the "Magic Malik Orchestra" (7 musicians) and a quartet. His bands integrate differents ethnics influences : Indian, caraibeans and afro-american. In parallel, Malik Mezzadri composes and arranges; for the "Bulgarian Voices" and the "Orchestra of Bulgaria" (new Juan Rozoff album), for the theatre (Néron), and movie soundtrack (Ça ne se refuse pas) of Eric Woreth.
