Stéfanus Vivens

KEYBOARDS, HARMONIUM, MELODICA

Born in 1971, Stéfanus Vivens, began the piano at the National Academy of music of "la Vallée de Chevreuse" at the age of 5. He followed there the courses of Pierre Lefèvre (student of César Franck, accompanist of Lili Laskine). He is prize winner of the "concours Bellan" three years running.

In 1988 he decided to study very seriously jazz music at the EDIM, then went to the CIM, and the National Music school of Evry (1990). He initiated with modal and ethnic music through various training courses with Ann Ballester, Didier Malherbe, Mimi Lorenzini, Shyamal Maïtra. He learned the harmony with Bernard Maury and arranging with Rémy Goutin and Brad Weeler (IACP). Stéfanus Vivens practises in addition to the piano and the synthetizer, the melodica, the indian harmonium, the senza, the tablas, the djembe, the berimbau, the cajon and the dijeridoo.

Since 83, He performs in France and abroad in various contexts: with Minino Garay and "les Tambours du Sud", Tierra del Fuego, Banda Zéfir, Coda Combo, JF Roger quartet, Dojo, Blues Brothers vol II, Nemla, Shyamal Maïtra, Julien Lourau groove gang...

Stéfanus also animates musicotherapy workshops.
