DOUBLE BASS

Born in 1959, He studied jazz music at the AIMRA school (Lyon), and the double bass at the E.N.M of Villeurbanne, then he had training courses with B. Dobbins, Don Cherry, N. Vasconcelos, S. Swallow, M. Vitous, D. Holland, P. Motian et J. F. Jenny-Clarck.

Beginnings in Lyon are eclectic: adventures in modern jazz (Black Boule, Rackham lerouge...), african and rock'n'roll bands, free music (Tchangodei, Itaru Oki...), with the ARFI (la marmite infernale...), creation for dance companies (Marc Neff)...

In 1989 he settled in Paris where he could be seen with M. Liebeskind, Mathieu Michel, J. Pierre Como, P. Sellam, G. Renne, Zool Fleischer, P. Breslin, D. Patrois, G. Ferris, R. Eubanks, D. Brown, P. Osborne, Harold Land, L. De Wilde, T. Smith, A. Jean-Marie, G. Brown, Red Holloway, S. Di Battista, A. Farao, G. Capiozzio, Manu Roche...
